Terms of use

1. About this service

Fix My Issue is operated by Fix My Issue (“we”, “us”). By using this service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

This service is available to tenants in England aged 18 or over who hold an assured shorthold tenancy or a social tenancy.

2. Not legal advice

This service is a letter-drafting tool. It does not provide legal advice and does not create a solicitor-client relationship. The letters generated are based on pre-written template paragraphs and are tailored to your answers.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. We accept no liability for any loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete answers.

For legal advice, contact a solicitor, Shelter (0808 800 4444), or Citizens Advice (0800 144 8848).

3. Payment and refunds

The fee is £9.99 per letter. Payment is processed by Stripe. You can preview the opening of your letter before paying.

Because the letter is a digital product delivered immediately on payment, you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once the letter has been delivered. If the letter has not been delivered due to a technical fault, contact us at info@fixmyissue.co.uk for a refund.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree that you will:

  • Only use the service in connection with a genuine tenancy complaint
  • Provide accurate and truthful information in the form
  • Not use the service to send letters containing false, defamatory, or threatening content — you are responsible for the free-text description you provide
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the template logic

5. Intellectual property

The template text, letter structure, and website content are owned by Fix My Issue. The letter generated for you is licensed to you for personal use in connection with your tenancy. You may not reproduce or resell template content.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the letter (£9.99).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
